Zinc anodes are an effective and economical corrosion inhibitor. Where resistivity is generally lower, they are often used in seawater or salt mud environments to protect ship hulls, ballast tanks, bulkheads, docks, piles and heat exchangers. In addition, Zinc Anodes are also used to protect buried steel structures.
Zinc anodes come with a fixed material composition standard, as shown below. Zinc has the longest service life among other permanent reference cells. We use Hi-Pure Zinc to ensure quality consistency and a consistent -1.1v conversion factor for CuSO4. Zinc Reference Cells are available with various options.
