Anodes are active mixed metals that work to protect the surface of iron or other metals from the direct rusting process. The mixed metal made on the anode has more negative properties than other types of metals such as iron, steel, and others.
The negative nature of the anode will serve as a shield for the metal being attached, thus delaying the rusting process. The anode’s mixed metal can be destroyed when exposed to water which can cause corrosion.
The anode will release the content in the mixed metal to protect the the iron it is coating. When exposed to acid from the influence of corrosion, the anode will undergo a process of melting little by little and releasing metal content that can protect the iron from the rusting process.
itself has various types, namely Aluminum Anodes, Zinc Anodes and Magnesium Anodes (Can contact us if you need Magnesium Anodes)
